Saemi

Saemi Nakamura

Facilitator

Saemi Nakamura was born and grew up in Tokyo. Although she was having a comfortable life there, she felt that something was missing.  “Is there something more to life?” “What is the meaning of life?” “What is the purpose of my life?” So she left everything familiar behind and came to the United States to find out who she was. Because she thought that acting training might be able to help her explore the various facets of her being, she joined an acting school in Hollywood.  She has worked on films, television shows, and numerous commercials for over twenty years.  Her first memoir was published in Japan in 1998 and followed by three more books sharing her experience and insights living in Los Angeles. Her story inspired countless young people.

Facilitator

I’ve known since age 19 that the exploration of human potential, self-actualization, and consciousness exploration were my passions, and that my field of study would be psychology. Between that moment and now, I’ve explored a wide range of philosophies, religions, spiritual growth methods and spiritual paths. Ultimately, the two that have resonated closest to my soul are breathwork and astrology.

Anne Arthur

Course Instructor

Anne Arthur’s initiation to breathwork in a community setting was at a Holotropic BreathworkⓇ workshop offered by Glenn Girlando near Seattle in March 2010. She was deeply moved by the warmth, welcoming and joy at the pre-workshop intro talk facilitated by Glenn, Michael Stone and others who had gathered to hold space for the inner journey.

Soon after attending her first breathwork workshop, Anne experienced her first 6-day breathwork immersion module at Menla in the Catskills. Stan Grof taught at that module supported by a group of facilitators including Tav Sparks who held space for participants from 17 countries to journey within.

Many rich experiences of growth, connection and expansion followed in the years to come and Anne certified as a facilitator through Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT) in 2013.
